DOG TREATS
Bow Wow Biscuits
1 cup rye flour
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 egg
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
¾ cup low sodium beef or chicken broth
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Mix the flour and cornmeal in one bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whip the egg with oil, parsley, and broth. Add flour mixture and mix until dough is soft
- Knead dough and roll out to ½ inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut the dough into shapes.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Cool before serving
Begging Brownies
6 cups oats
2 cups wheat flour
4 Eggs
1/3 cup corn oil
½ cup molasses
¼ cup honey
1 cup rice
1 can pumpkin
- Preheat oven to 325 F
- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Pat dough into a greased jelly-roll pan
- Bake for approximately 1 hour.
- Let cool, then cut into bite-size squares
Tender Treats
3 small (2 ½ oz.) jars of beef or chicken baby food
¼ cup dry milk powder
1/3 cup wheat germ
1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 350
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on well-greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten balls slightly with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
- Cool on wire rake before serving
Meaty Mutt Meatballs
½ pound ground beef or sirloin
¼ cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup finely chopped carrot
½ cup bread crumbs
¼ cups oats
1 egg
3 tablespoons low-sodium tomato paste
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Beat egg in separate bowl.
- Combine all ingredients including egg in bowl.
- Roll into small meatballs.
- Place meatballs on well greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes
- Cool before serving
Peanut Butter Pleasers
3 cups wheat flour
½ cup oats
½ cup dry milk powder
2 cups non-fat milk
2 cups creamy low fat peanut butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons honey
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Blend flour, oats, dry milk and baking powder in large mixing bowl.
- Mix in milk, peanut butter and honey.
- Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes and place on well greased cookie sheet
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Cool before serving

Salmon Delights
½ cup canned Salmon, drained
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon brewer’s yeast
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Combine and mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Form the dough into marble sized balls.
- Drop balls on well greased cookie sheet about one inch apart
- Bake for 8 minutes or until brown.
Cool before serving.
Salmon Delights
½ cup canned Salmon, drained
1 egg, slightly beaten

1 teaspoon brewer’s yeast
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Combine and mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Form the dough into marble sized balls.
- Drop balls on well greased cookie sheet about one inch apart
- Bake for 8 minutes or until brown.
- Cool before serving.
Catnip Cookies
1 cup wheat flour
¼ cup soy flour
¼ cup milk
1/3 cup dry milk powder
1 egg
2 tablespoons wheat germ
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon catnip
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Roll out batter with lightly floured rolling pin on a greased cookie sheet.
- Cut into small treat size pieces.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Meaty Munchies
1 small jar turkey baby food
½ cup wheat germ
½ cup dry milk powder
1 teaspoon molasses
1 teaspoon catnip
- Preheat oven to 250 F.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl
- Roll dough into small balls.
- Place balls on well greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten balls with a fork.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool before serving.
Mouse burger Meatballs
½ pound ground beef or turkey
¼ cup finely grated carrot
1 egg
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon brewer’s yeast
1 teaspoon catnip
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon low-sodium tomato paste
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Mix meat, carrot, cheese, yeast, catnip and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Add egg, tomato paste, honey, and mix well.
- Roll dough into small meatballs and place on well greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Sardine Snacks
7 ounces mashed sardines
¼ cup powdered milk
½ cup wheat germ
1 tablespoon oatmeal
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Roll into small balls and place on well greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten balls with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
- Cool before serving.
Store leftover cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
